Blender render farm pricing
TURNA charges by the hour of render time, and the tier you pick sets how many GPU machines render your frames in parallel: Standard €2.90/h on 1 machine, Boost €7.90/h on 2 machines, Max €19.90/h on 4 machines, Turbo €49.90/h on 8 machines. Billing is on the time actually used, with a 30-second minimum, and the Blender add-on shows the estimated cost before anything starts. New accounts get €25 of free credit.
How is the render farm cost calculated?
The frames of an animation are split across the machines of your tier, and you pay the elapsed time at the tier's hourly price:
cost = (minutes per frame × frames ÷ machines ÷ 60) × price per hour
The time is measured from the start to the end of the render and billed on the time actually used, with a 30-second minimum: a render that runs for 20 minutes is billed 20 minutes, not a full hour. A single still image cannot be split, so it always runs on one machine whatever the tier.
What does a real animation cost on each tier?
Take a 10-second shot at 25 fps: 250 frames at 2 minutes per frame, 8 h 20 of rendering on one computer. The figures assume a TURNA machine renders a frame as fast as the machine where you timed it, which is a conservative assumption.
| Tier | Machines | Render time | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1 | 8 h 20 | €24.17 |
| Boost | 2 | 4 h 10 | €32.92 |
| Max | 4 | 2 h 05 | €41.46 |
| Turbo | 8 | 1 h 03 | €51.98 |
Faster tiers cost more per hour but run for less time, so the total rises much more slowly than the speed: here Turbo finishes 8 times sooner than Standard for about 2.2 times the price. Standard suits renders with no deadline; the higher tiers buy time when a client is waiting. To run the same calculation with your own frame time and frame count, use the render time calculator.
What is included in the price?
- The Blender add-on (Blender 4.0 to 5.2), which checks the scene, collects textures and linked files, and sends it in one click.
- Rendering with Cycles or Eevee on RTX 5090 GPUs first, RTX 4090 when none is free.
- A cost estimate before every launch.
- Frames delivered to your dashboard as they finish.
The price depends on the tier only, not on the GPU model the render lands on. The minimum charge per render is 30 seconds of the tier's hourly price.
How can you lower the cost of a render?
The cheapest hour is the one you do not need. Most of the cost comes from the time per frame, and that depends on your Cycles settings more than on any render farm. Two guides cover it: how to render faster in Blender Cycles and choosing the noise threshold. The Blender render farm page explains how TURNA works end to end.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a render farm cost for Blender?
On TURNA, four public tiers: Standard €2.90/h on 1 machine, Boost €7.90/h on 2 machines, Max €19.90/h on 4 machines, Turbo €49.90/h on 8 machines. You pay the render time on the time actually used, with a 30-second minimum. For example, 250 frames at 2 minutes per frame cost €24.17 on Standard and €51.98 on Turbo.
Why does going 8 times faster not cost 8 times more?
The total amount of compute is the same: 8 machines render the same frames as 1 machine, in a fraction of the time. The hourly price of each tier includes a premium for speed, so in this example Turbo costs about 2.2 times as much as Standard, not 8 times.
Is there a minimum charge or a subscription?
No subscription is required. Each render is billed on the time actually used, with a 30-second minimum. Optional monthly plans (Pro and Studio) exist for regular users and are described on the French pricing page.
Do I know the price before the render starts?
Yes. The Blender add-on estimates the time and cost of the render and shows them before launch. Nothing starts until you confirm.
Is there a free trial?
New accounts receive €25 of free credit with no credit card required, about 8 hours on the Standard tier.
